Breakfast: an important meal, but also just another opportunity to “dinner” party. My favorite thing about brunch is that it allows one to sleep in a little, but still enjoy the daytime and food with friends and then everyone can go to bed early. I mean, we usually start brunch around 1 or 2pm and then go on through dinner and then after dinner, the traditional dance party. My favorite brunch foods are all brunch foods. Seriously, brunch is delicious enough to make me bust out some swear words. Let us just make a list of traditional brunch items: pancakes, crepes, eggs benedict, omelet, frittata, waffles, quiche (people would argue this is not a brunch item, I argue back: “it got eggs”), bacon, sausage, biscuits, oatmeal, muesli and yogurt, fruit, poached eggs, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, french toast, smoked salmon (just because it goes great with eggs)… really. So much.
